I’m going to start with how to set up your DS to access homebrew. This works for 2DS, old and new 3DS and old and new 3DS XL, and is currently available for Europe, Japan and the USA but don’t worry, other regions are being worked on! You can check HERE to keep up to date on the progress for your region. I hope this helps you but if you have any problems don’t hesitate to MESSAGE ME either via ask or IM! Homebrew Setup- including setup instructions for Soundhax (i’ll add oothax later) Most hacking tutorials only mention how to set up homebrew and don’t explain how to actually go about hacking and using the save editor, which I know can also be confusing for some of you so, I will also be including that in my tutorial! I’m going to place all the information under the cut because it’s quite lengthy, and also so that I will be able to keep the information up to date. Setting up Soundhax is fairly straightforward, but for those of you who are still having issues or are new to hacking altogether, I’ve decided to put together this step by step, pictured tutorial which I hope should help you! To boot normally to your 3ds Home Menu just don't hold L while turning it on.With the recent release of Soundhax, hacking is once again possible again for everyone even on the most current version 11.2-0.35! Press the A button to continue.ġ0.Press B once and then press Start to exit.ġ1.Now just turn off your 3ds and turn it back on holding the L Trigger and you should boot straight to the Homebrew Launcher.

A screen should pop up and it should say Creating theme management information.ħ.Once it's done do NOT change your theme and go back to the homebrew launcher.Ĩ.Open menuhax_manager v2.0 and now on the bottom screen press down on the D-pad and select the Install custom theme option and press A to install HomeMenuhax.ĩ.Wait a bit and on the bottom of your bottom screen it should say Install finished successfully. When it's done Press the A button to continue, Press B once and then press Start to exit.ĥ.Exit out of the homebrew launcher and go to your 3ds home menu again.Ħ.This time on the 3ds home menu tap one time to enter the Home/tool icon on the top left corner of your bottom screen and then select Change Theme. If you have any kind of problems when you try to install a custom theme try this out.ġ.Exit out of the homebrew launcher and go to your 3ds home menu.Ģ.Change the theme to any other basic color one.ģ.Go back to the homebrew launcher and open menuhax_manager v2.0.Ĥ.Press A on the first option that says Install. To remove the hack from your system just change the theme to any other one. To boot normally to your 3ds Home Menu just don't hold L while turning it on. If you don't have it get it here.Ģ.Extract the folder named menuhax_manager and place it inside the 3ds folder located on the root of your 3ds SD Card.ģ.For custom themes installation place the files named body_LZ.bin and bgm.bcstm inside the folder named menuhax_manager that you just placed inside the 3ds folder on the root of your 3ds SD card.Ĥ.Connect your 3ds to the internet (Internet is only needed the first time for the installation) and use another hax method to open the Homebrew Launcher.Ĥ.On the Homebrew Launcher look for menuhax_manager v2.0 and select it pressing A.ĥ.Now on the bottom screen press down on the D-pad and select the Install custom theme option and press A to install HomeMenuhax.Ħ.Wait a bit and on the bottom of your bottom screen it should say Install finished succesfully. Every hax haves it's own description so read and install the hax that fits your needs better.įirst of all make sure you have the Homebrew Launcher boot.3dsx file on the root of your 3ds SD Card.
